Press info: Application – UX Design Awards 2015

UX Design Awards 2015

Call for Submissions | Deadline: June 12

The UX Design Awards honor outstanding design and user orientation in products, digital solutions and services. The competition is Europe’s first to award user experience design addressing trade, consumers and industry alike. It is annually run by International Design Center Berlin (IDZ). All nominated product solutions will be showcased at IFA Berlin (Sept 4 – 9), the global trade show for consumer and home electronics.

The UX Design Awards honor holistic design that places an emphasis on people and the entire user experience. How can products or services provide a positive user experience? What are future users longing for? In a product world that is undergoing visible and increasing alignment in terms of overall choice, the user experience has become a decisive factor for market success.

Companies and agencies are invited to submit their user-oriented products and services to the competition until June 12, 2015. The registration is free of charge. All details at:

Product Areas

As products increasingly traverse classic product categories and become multifunctional hybrids, the awards evaluate products according to their particular context and usage: Which kind of user experiences are created? Do these products or services make life easier, do they facilitate new ways of communication or knowledge-sharing? Which role do they play in the life of users? Accordingly, products and services of various categories can be submitted to the competition: from electronic kitchen aids to mobility apps to interactive, medical tools. Yet, the solutions should excel in user experiences in one or several of the following areas:

Connectivity | Creating smart systems, connected things and services
Productivity | Adding structure or efficiency to daily activities
Communication | Connecting people and communities
Engagement | Activating, raising awareness, capturing attention
Improvement | Improving quality of life, health and human abilities
Sharing | Enhancing access, participation and knowledge sharing
Disruption | Redefining products or services
Privacy | Emphasizing data protection, advancing digital security
