Three questions to the project team
1. What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
That this application must be equally easy to use for carpenters, architects and end consumers, and was consequently designed and developed for three very different personas! The aim was to make the selection of the right decor as simple and clear as possible for all users, while satisfying the need for "pure" efficiency as well as for creative inspiration. Print catalogue and app - real and digital world - should seamlessly complement each other in the experience.
2. What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The continuous tests with user groups and the resulting successive improvements during the development process were our constant aha! moments. Due to the early involvement of the users, the entire concept phase was very exciting and certainly also a highlight of the project. The very successful, interdisciplinary cooperation in and between the teams seems to have saved us from major lows despite the high complexity!
3. Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
At the moment, everything that corresponds to the "state-of-the-art" has been implemented in this application. What we are planning for the next five years and consider to be possible will be able to take place on a completely new level in the Experience.
