Three questions for the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The DentixBuddy project posed a unique UX challenge centered around alleviating dental anxiety. Initially, our approach was focused on tackling specific pain points rather than comprehensively understanding and redesigning the entire patient journey. The primary hurdle emerged in transitioning from a point-focused solution to a service design that holistically addressed the entire dental experience. Effectively reshaping the dental journey required adopting a high-level perspective, considering various stakeholders involved in the project. Navigating the complexities of service design necessitated crafting a product that addressed diverse user needs from multiple perspectives.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
In the development process, a pivotal "aha!" moment emerged when we realized the versatility of our solution. Beyond aiding children in overcoming fear, our design extended its benefits to parents and dentists. Conducting thorough research, including surveys and interviews, not only validated our initial hypotheses but also provided more profound insights. This process helped refine and solidify our core concepts, namely "trust" and "anticipation," addressing emotional aspects often challenging to unveil. While these breakthroughs were highlights, we also navigated low points, turning challenges into opportunities for growth and refinement.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
Over the next five years, DentixBuddy aims to undergo iterative enhancements through continuous user and expert feedback and work with developers. Our commitment is to diligently refine the service, enabling us to enter the market and provide valuable support to children grappling with dental anxiety. As we evolve, DentixBuddy envisions a heightened level of perfection, establishing collaborative partnerships with dentist clinics. This strategic collaboration aims to reshape the dental journey for children, fostering synergistic relationships among children, parents, and dentists.
