Three questions for the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The main UX challenge of CareCompass was creating an intuitive, user-friendly interface that caters to a diverse user base, including those who may be less tech-savvy or under significant stress due to health concerns. We had to ensure that the app's design was both simple and informative, providing clear guidance and real-time updates without overwhelming users. Additionally, integrating the application seamlessly into the physical hospital visit experience was crucial, ensuring that users received timely information and felt supported throughout their journey. Balancing comprehensive functionality with ease of use, while addressing the complex and often stressful nature of navigating healthcare systems, was a critical aspect of it.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The highlight of the development process was presenting the real-time navigation prototype to users. They loved the feature and shared their challenging experiences in hospitals. It was clear they felt a strong attachment to the idea and quickly embraced it. At that moment, I realized our goal was to create a simple yet effective solution that resonates with users of all ages.

The low point occurred in the early stages of development. The complexity of the healthcare workflow made it clear that trying to solve every problem was not feasible. Initially, my approach was too broad. By speaking with more people and patients, I learned what truly bothered them, allowing us to narrow our focus and develop the core idea of CareCompass.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In the next five years, we aim to enhance the app with advanced AI capabilities and integrate more features to streamline the patient journey. Personally, I see myself leading a dedicated team, driving innovation in healthcare technology, and expanding CareCompass to international markets. We will focus on realizing our concept through implementation, partnering with hospitals willing to participate in bringing CareCompass to real life and starting to help people. Our goal is to make healthcare more accessible, efficient, and patient-friendly globally.
