Three questions for the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
From a UX perspective, the project presents challenges. On one hand, it must be accessible to everyone, inclusive, and easy to navigate. On the other hand, it is bound by strict regulations concerning the security of stored data. The interface must facilitate data access while safeguarding it from unauthorized access. This necessitates a substantial interoperability—ensuring the e-wallet integrates seamlessly with various government services and third-party systems, thereby delivering a smooth user experience across different platforms.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
My 'aha' moment in this project was realizing that we didn't need to develop the project for the demo we were presenting, but instead, we could use the company's capabilities to present a clickable prototype. This was our first presentation where the focus shifted from the development team to the UX team. We gained time, but also strengthened our position as the design team. As a result, the sales teams became more aware of the importance of the UX & UI process.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In five years, I see myself as a seasoned designer of this product, which will be implemented by governments across different continents, each with varying regulatory requirements. On the one hand, I envision facilitating its customization to meet each client's specific needs and legal frameworks. On the other hand, given the rapid technological advancements, I anticipate addressing challenges related to AI, process automation, and the growing cybersecurity threats. I see a crucial need for designers to push continuous innovation and most importantly to assure user centricity as technology and society evolve.
