Three questions for the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The biggest challenge of this project was researching the psychological and behavioral motivations that lead to low adherence rates in adolescents with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and developing strategies to present them in a user-friendly manner through both physical and digital products. How can we keep patients motivated to pursue treatment? How can we reduce patients’ resistance and negative emotions related to treatment? How can we improve the effectiveness of each session and provide a better treatment-life balance? How can we shorten the ACT technique learning cycle and improve the learning efficiency ? How can we help the CF team better track patients’ conditions? These all need to be taken into account.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
When I think about it, what do patients want most? It's freedom. So, what if the ultimate goal of this training is greater freedom? Wouldn't that make them more motivated to train in the capabilities of ACT? Since they are resistant to ACT due to uncertainty and not seeing results, what if we could quantify each ACT session and provide visual progression data? Then I had my 'aha-moment' when all the clues came together: a progressive ACT training kit.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
A more valued user experience and digitized medical instruments are essential for the future of CF management. Moii is a nice start, and I hope to gain more attention to develop, test, and implement it further.
