Three questions for the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The most challenging part of the project was designing AI features within the dashboard that would help a user search, triage, and contextualize relevant data without relying solely on automation.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
Because of security reasons, our sponsor, the Intelligence Agency, never disclosed users' current workflow when using a system. Our undergraduate senior student group had difficulty conceptualizing an interface without any reference point in the early phase of the design process. The pivotal moment came through a storytelling activity to construct a situational scenario and role-play internal usability testing.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
The sponsored project cycle lasted nine weeks before delivering design artifacts to the Intelligence Agency. However, I see myself exploring more interactions on how a user experiences partnering with an AI system in data search, triage and contextualization.
