Three questions for the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
It was particularly difficult to navigate through all the regulations that exist, especially if you want to implement a new product into healthcare. The data protection law is very strict in Germany, so we had to be cautious of that, and designed certain aspects of nuvoi, like the display, as well as the visibility of information accordingly. Furthermore, it was a challenge to design the product in a way that it wouldn't disturb the caretaker during the work shift, which led to multiple iterations regarding the handling of the device.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
Our biggest aha-moment came when the caregivers we interviewed responded positively to our idea, stating that it would greatly assist their documentation process. This feedback was a huge motivation for us to continue with the idea and helped us push the project in the right direction.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
Although there are currently no plans to further develop the project, we hope that nuvoi, or a future iteration of it, could eventually be implemented in a real-world setting and make a meaningful impact on the healthcare sector. We believe that with more time and dedication, it is possible to achieve significant improvements over the current situation.
