Three questions for the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
From a user experience perspective, we faced significant challenges in this project, particularly in addressing the confusion raised by users during our interviews. One major issue was ensuring the reliability of the AI, as we needed to provide accurate information while offering clear, non-prescriptive guidance. Additionally, the online medical diagnosis features posed challenges regarding clarity and user understanding, especially regarding button functionality and overall usability. These issues required careful consideration and innovative solutions to enhance the user experience effectively.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
A breakthrough moment in our project was when we narrowed our scope to focus specifically on helping dog parents care for their pets' health and nutrition. In the early research stages, we considered incorporating various features into the app and developed multiple design concepts, including a community platform for users to share information and socialize with other dog parents, which proved to be a bit overwhelming. While we struggled to simplify the idea and decide which features to prioritize, the first round of user testing provided valuable insights from our target audience. This feedback helped us shift our app’s focus to address the most crucial needs of dog parents regarding health and nutrition, a key pivot in our design process that effectively guided us through the subsequent stages.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In five years, we envision the Pawsome project as a leading app for new dog owners, recognized for its user-friendly design and practical features. We aim to grow as UX designers with a deeper understanding of user needs and industry trends. We see Pawsome offering even more advanced AI-driven health and nutrition features for the project. The app will likely have a broad user base, benefiting from continuous improvements and updates. It could form partnerships with key players in the pet care industry to provide a comprehensive service for dog owners. The app will use data insights to enhance user experience and contribute to pet care research and innovation. We see Pawsome expanding its reach to a global market, adapting to different regions and cultures.
