Three questions for the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
We aimed to lower the technical barriers for UI/UX designers by presenting them with a simple and easy-to-learn interface, while allowing them to create advanced high-fidelity prototypes including prototypes that use on-device sensors, multiple displays, cross-device interactions, voice interactions, API data feeds etc. This presented a huge UX challenge of striking the right balance between ease-of-use and simplicity while maintaining powerful and advanced features.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
Our design teams big aha-moment came when we invented our unique concept model. The idea came from co-founder and CEO Tony Kim when he realized that each interaction can be described fundamentally through the following 1) the object 2) the trigger 3) the response. And by equipping our users with this simple yet powerful idea, we could allow non-technical users without coding background create everything from simple interactions to advanced use cases.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In the next 5 years we hope to expand our user base from the large design teams at Google and Meta to help designers in all company sizes including freelancers and SMBs. Our goal is to empower all UI/UX designers to create more with ProtoPie.
