Three questions for the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
To understand the current issues and benefits related to tea farmers' management of tea fields, tea health, and sales outcomes, surveys will be distributed to gauge the general public's emphasis on tea health and farmers' reputation. Additionally, interviews with several Taiwanese tea farmers will be conducted to gain insights into their on-the-ground conditions and feedback on the product concept.
Considering both tea farmers' and consumers' perspectives on managing tea fields, pesticide use, and health information, various interfaces will be designed for management, AI detection, learning, and purchasing. These interfaces will allow tea farmers and consumers to customize and learn about the features they wish to use.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The challenge lies in ensuring the UX logic is coherent and reflects the management benefits for tea farmers. During the design process, discussions with the supervising professor focus on the operational logic and main function settings of the interface. The AI recognition results are updated with health data analysis and pesticide application status, followed by updates to the UI's visual presentation. After determining the appropriate product design, structural materials, and style colors, the UI is chosen to match the product's calm and simple color scheme, making it user-friendly for older tea farmers as well.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
The project aims to integrate AI recognition technology with the tea pest and disease database, focusing on key design features. Future plans include testing with Figma and using forms to gather user feedback for adjusting UX and UI, as well as applying for a patent. The later stages will involve planning development costs and timelines, with the goal of raising funds for actual project development.
