What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The particular challenge of the Viettel Money project from a UX point of view was creating an inclusive and accessible digital financial ecosystem for the diverse demographics of Vietnam, including urban, rural, and remote communities. This required designing a user-friendly interface that could accommodate varying levels of digital literacy while maintaining simplicity and functionality. Extensive research, including field studies and user interviews, was essential to understand the unique needs of different user groups. The design needed to integrate personalized spaces guided by AI, offer customizable options, engage a broad audience with a gamified interface, and ensure reliability and trust through recognizable security features.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
Our personal highlight in the development process of Viettel Money was successfully implementing the Market Street interface, which significantly enhanced user engagement through gamification. The 'aha!' moment came during usability testing, where we saw a marked increase in user satisfaction and interaction rates, validating our inclusive design approach. However, a low point occurred when initial feedback indicated that some users found the app overwhelming due to its many features. This feedback prompted us to streamline the interface and prioritize essential functions, ultimately improving the overall user experience.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In the next five years, we see both ourselves and the Viettel Money project leading the charge in digital financial innovation under the banner 'Kiến tạo cuộc sống mới' (Creating a new life). With Viettel Money poised to go global, our aim is to expand beyond Vietnam and establish a prominent position in the global fintech landscape. We aim to continue driving the project's success by refining user experiences, exploring cutting-edge technologies like AI and machine learning, and forging strategic partnerships to enhance our international presence. This journey promises to be transformative, shaping the future of digital finance worldwide.
