Three questions to the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The UX challenge was to transform the chaotic and often overwhelming process of group travel planning for Gen-Z into a seamless and enjoyable experience. Gen-Z travelers often rely on social media for inspiration but face issues with information overload, disorganized ideas, and difficulty aligning preferences within groups. Additionally, traditional tools fail to support collaborative workflows or simplify the delegation of planning tasks. AdvenTrip tackles these challenges by leveraging AI to curate and personalize information while integrating gamification to streamline task assignments, fostering collaboration and turning travel planning into an engaging, stress-free activity.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The highlight of the process was an “aha!” moment that didn’t come easily. For a month, we were stuck in a frustrating brainstorming phase. Every idea felt incomplete—too complex, not creative enough, or lacking value. Then, we went back to basics: understanding the users. Through interviews, we discovered many young travelers shared our pain—excited to explore but dreading the boring trip-planning process. That’s when it clicked: combining social media, AI, and gamified planning wasn’t just innovative—it was exactly what people like us needed.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In five years, we see AdvenTrip becoming the go-to platform for Gen-Z travelers, transforming how they plan and experience trips. By continuously evolving our AI capabilities, we’ll offer hyper-personalized itineraries that feel as unique as each user’s inspiration. We envision AdvenTrip as a thriving community where social media inspiration seamlessly translates into unforgettable adventures. As a team, we aim to lead innovation in this space, expand AdvenTrip globally, and foster partnerships with travel platforms and influencers to enhance our ecosystem. Together, we’ll make planning as exciting as the journey itself, turning spontaneity into seamless collaboration and redefining travel for the next generation.
