Three questions to the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
A particular Challenge was Jakob’s Law - “Users spend most of their time on other sites. This means that users prefer your site to work the same way as all the other sites they already know”, but the challenge was that there is no direct references or pre-existing solutions in the market, making it hard to give users common and intuitive patterns of how things would work. It was critical to design unique interaction patterns that still leveraged users’ instincts and behaviours. This involved rounds of research, user testing, and iteration to understand how users would expect the product to behave and what would feel logical. The design had to feel fresh and innovative while still being intuitive and easy to navigate.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The development of Hapttic had its highs and lows. The toughest moment was when major platforms closed public APIs, leaving us unable to fetch data for our customers. This created a sense of uncertainty, as we temporarily couldn’t deliver on our promises, forcing us to rethink our entire approach. The turning point - the “aha!” moment - came when our tech team reimagined the data-fetching model. By drawing inspiration from human behavior, they built a system that mimicked actions like taking screenshots, summarizing content, and extracting key insights. This innovation not only solved the challenge but also made our technology more resilient, adaptive, and future-proof, transforming Hapttic into a smarter and more reliable tool.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
Over the past two years, we’ve worked to perfect Hapttic, redefining media monitoring by addressing competitor gaps and removing limitations on sources, keywords, and languages. While Hapttic is already an innovation, our vision goes far beyond that. True loyalty comes from unmatched convenience, not just innovation. In the next five years, we don’t just believe - we are confident that Hapttic will be the leading internet intelligence platform. It will evolve into a comprehensive all-in-one platform, integrating essential tools like keyword research, domain audits, and performance overviews. By bringing everything digital marketers need into one place, Hapttic will become the ultimate go-to toolkit for digital marketing success.
