Three questions to the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The main challenge was to offer in the same application totally different products (a movie ticket, or a workshop) to totally different users (a user without insurance, a user with insurance). These users had different needs, different uses, and contained products with typologies that had nothing to do with each other. In this way we categorized products that could have things in common into branches: Mobility, Leisure, Home... and we managed to organize the products. And on the other hand, we were able to detect the main needs of each user: the insured wanted everything related to first-level insurance and the uninsured wanted more versatility in the app, solving the problems for each profile.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The development process of MutuaMás was complicated; from the beginning, work started without clear requirements and had to evolve as problems arose. One of the most challenging moments was after the app's launch, as it did not receive the reception we expected, and we had to completely redesign the Home page because users struggled to understand the new functionalities, having had a very integrated experience with the previous app. This was also one of the highlights of the process, as it allowed us to evolve significantly as a team and become more involved in analytics and data processes.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
Our goal as a team is to continue growing, there is still a lot to do, and to improve the app. As we all know, digital products are never finished, so we will continue to perform user tests, prioritize products, and improve that user experience. In 5 years, we see ourselves being a benchmark for UX design in the insurance sector, applying everything we have learned to all the products we have, and hopefully, continuing to participate in contests, and at least being nominated.
