Three questions to the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
One particular challenge was the goal we set ourselves: we wanted to achieve a low cognitive load. We therefore developed a simple user interface for e-learning that enables a heterogeneous target group to absorb the content without effort. For example, we established a video player with several advantages. The pause function allows users to stop the video or repeat passages as required. The integrated video subtitles support the spoken word if required and finally, the full-screen display offers the possibility to better recognize details if necessary.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
Our personal highlight was clearly the realization that even topics such as sustainability, which are generally classified as difficult, can be told in a relatively relaxed, fresh and modern way. This applies to the design and color scheme as well as the type of illustration. In terms of content, we also found that clear language and concise formulations are good for complex issues. It was particularly important for us to communicate the many laws and regulations as clearly as possible, especially for a heterogeneous target group. We therefore opted for simple, clear language and repeatedly conducted interviews with colleagues to obtain feedback.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
Over the next five years, we will continue to expand and develop the topic of sustainability. Perhaps we will develop our own platform that focuses exclusively on sustainability issues. An academy for all companies for whom the topic is important and who are looking for guidance. Above all, however, the content of the e-learning should always be up to date. But we are not losing sight of new technical aspects either. In the coming years, accessibility will also play an increasingly important role for websites in order to include as large a target group as possible. We would like to play our part in this with all our products and make a contribution.
