Three questions to the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
A key UX challenge was creating an application that sensitized all employees equally—without further stigmatizing those more sensitive to external stimuli at the workplace. The app had to offer enough informational value for everyone with minimal individualization and integrate discreetly into everyday work life without causing distraction through too much information. Finding the right features required several iterations and a careful balance between must-haves and nice-to-haves. User testing showed that not all groups found common visual elements intuitive, especially less tech-savvy users, which led to a reduction in both functionality and formal-aesthetic complexity.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
One personal highlight in the development process was the moment i addressed how to 'measure' individual perception. Since each person experiences and reacts to stimuli differently, the challenge was to find a way to track and visualize these subjective impressions. The insight to use a simple input method—one that was quick, effective, and user-friendly—turned out to be a surprising but powerful solution. This was a true aha! moment. Another ongoing challenge was finding ways to motivate users to engage with the application regularly and over a longer period, which is key to achieving meaningful and lasting impact.
