Three questions to the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The biggest UX challenge embedded in the app’s design was unifying a complex ecosystem, hearing aid controls, personal data, coaching programs, and remote care, into a single experience that feels simple and empowering. Users rely on the app daily, so every interaction had to be stable, accessible, and reassuring. Designing for such a broad audience, from tech-savvy users to older adults with sensory limitations, required a rigorous balance between flexibility and clarity.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The highlight of the Amplifon App development process was the moment users described the app as “a companion” rather than a tool. This shift confirmed that the emotional layer designed truly resonated. A critical phase involved aligning all global markets around a common UX model, but this challenge prompted the creation of a more scalable and future-proof design system. Seeing the final app adopted worldwide was deeply satisfying.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In the next five years, we see the app becoming the central hub of the entire hearing-care journey, blending proactive health insights, real-time personalization, and seamless device integration. As a team, we hope to continue driving experiences that translate complex technology into something human, supportive, and meaningful, helping the app evolve as users’ needs and hearing-care ecosystems change.
