Three questions to the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
From a UX point of view, the greatest challenge lies in developing and validating the product's experience flow entirely from the perspective of children. Most existing digital products on the market guide children to passively consume media content. The difficulty of this project is designing a dedicated creativity platform for young children from scratch—one that empowers them to actively unleash their imagination and produce creative content with minimal effort. Given our target audience consists of young children, we must conduct multiple rounds of interviews and usability tests to ensure the product effectively serves their needs.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The most unforgettable part was the interview research phase. Every face-to-face conversation with the children brought unexpected surprises. Though each child we met had a distinct personality, attentive listening revealed that every one possessed boundless imagination. When told the same story, each child expressed unique emotions and divergent thoughts. This showed us their limitless potential. We couldn't help but marvel at how tragic it would be if these precious sparks of inspiration weren't captured immediately. This realization became a powerful driving force behind the creation of our product, Mira.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
We believe Mira holds even greater potential for the future. In the future, we can continue to expand our services to cater to children of different age groups and broaden our user base. We also look forward to interdisciplinary collaborations with more experts in education and artificial intelligence technology development, enabling Mira to be realized with more mature technology. Because Mira is dedicated to providing children with a platform for active creation, we also hope that more children will create imaginative works with its companionship, giving Mira the opportunity to record and showcase these precious inspirations.
