The KoBeLU research project deals with a contextual learning system for trainees in the manufacturing industry. The augmented table allows users to perfect practical exercises under real-life conditions. Required tools as well as helpful information are simply mapped on the worktop. A conversational user interface acts as study partner: It takes up the trainees’ language and emotions and accompanies them step by step through their tasks. By way of artificial intelligence, the “learning” table enables trainers to devote more time to individual support.
