Three questions for the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The project faced significant UX challenges, primarily due to the inability to conduct in-person interviews or tests. This limitation hampered our ability to observe real-time interactions. Additionally, as students with limited resources, we struggled to connect with some of the subject matter experts (SMEs) whom we identified in the short time frame.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
We had an Aha! moment when we made an unexpected connection between the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and a job seeker's need for demonstrating their soft skills. 'Soul Kin' was developed to capture the same idea and become a feature for young professionals to showcase their skills to recruiters. The realisation that the way people connect with Harry Potter characters and their magical abilities could be translated into a practical tool for career development was truly exciting. It allowed us to approach the common problem of skill demonstration from a fresh, engaging angle.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
We want to start by getting investors on-board and find the product-market fit to launch Co-Action successfully.
In the next five years, we envision Co-Action becoming the go-to platform for job seeking, networking, and up-skilling. Our initial focus will be on young professionals in the United States, but we have plans to expand globally. This expansion will not only increase our user base but also provide our users with broader reach and visibility in the job market. Additionally we aim to tailor the platform's capabilities for the recruiter to optimise their recruitment process.
