Three questions for the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The primary UX challenge was to simplify data management for IT executives, data administrators, and end users. Cohesity's platform needed to consolidate diverse data sources and access methods into a unified, intuitive experience, addressing the complexities of modern work-anywhere environments and cyber threats.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
As designers, we bear a profound responsibility. Our design is not just buttons on a screen, its a gateway to data - the lifeblood of businesses and individuals. One misstep, a poorly designed interface, can lead to data loss, security breaches, and even financial ruin. Imagine millions of terabytes of data, the collective knowledge and memories of businesses and individuals, vanishing due to a design flaw. That's the responsibility we shoulder as we strive to create intuitive and trustworthy experiences that empower users to navigate their data with confidence in an increasingly digital world.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In 5 years, we envision the Cohesity as the industry standard for data management, seamlessly integrated into every organization's digital ecosystem. Our design will have evolved to proactively anticipate and address user needs, leveraging advancements in AI and automation to provide an even more intuitive and personalized experience. We will become the trusted advisor for organizations seeking to unlock the power of their data. Our platform will be widely adopted across all industries, empowering businesses to make informed decisions, optimize operations, and drive innovation at scale. Cohesity will deliver a future where data is not just managed, but truly understood and leveraged to create a better world for all.
