Three questions for the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The biggest UX challenge was maintaining a human-centered approach: optimize the user's workflow, identify areas where AI can effectively replace manual tasks, and differentiate between tasks that AI can or cannot handle. Understanding the capabilities and limitations of AI is crucial in designing a seamless user experience and planning the ideal workflow for AI-powered products. This balance is essential on creating an intuitive user interface that effectively leverages AI technology while ensuring a productive and user-friendly experience for business analysts.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The highlight was conducting business analysis for the business analysis process itself. This added an intriguing layer to our work, and pushed us to identify a method that resonated deeply with our users.
The aha!-moment moment for us came when we realized that we were not only building a solution, our work could radically transform how business processes are conceived and executed.
A low point was pausing Domini AI's evolution post-hackathon. The opportunity was to leverage the insights from this successful proof of concept for a new product aimed at empowering AI with the entire team.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
Domini AI, as a proof of concept, is a pioneer in AI-assisted software delivery. Based on what we've learned from Domini and other prototypes, Thoughtworks has built Haiven™ Team Assistant. This AI-powered tool helps with tasks throughout the entire software delivery process.
While Domini focuses on the Business Analyst workflow, Haiven™ Team Assistant enhances the whole team's expertise. It helps complete development tasks faster, improves feedback loops, finds process gaps, and drives innovation and business value.
In five years, we see AI-assisted software delivery transforming how teams build software. We aim to be at the forefront of this technological revolution, empowering software development with AI.
