Three questions to the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The challenge in this project was gaining a deep understanding of the travel industry and its technical challenges to align the vision of innovation with a practical technology roadmap. We had to balance industry-specific needs with cutting-edge solutions, ensuring that the user experience was both seamless and forward-thinking. The key was to create a product that could cater to the unique preferences of Gen Z travelers while integrating advanced technologies like AI, without losing sight of the industry's operational constraints.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The personal highlight was exploring new technologies during the prototype phase. When we first created the app interface for Vision Pro, it hadn’t been launched yet, and we had limited guidelines. This challenge pushed us to stretch our creative process and reimagine an entirely new experience for users, especially Gen Z. The “aha!” moment came when we realized how these emerging technologies could transform not only the way people book travel but also how they interact with travel destinations in a more personalized, immersive way.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In the next five years, we see ourselves having a significant, positive impact on the travel and hospitality industry. Vision Pro was designed to meet the evolving needs of the new generation of travelers. With continued advancements in Gen AI and data-driven insights, we are at a pivotal moment. We foresee companies adopting our solution to create more personalized, innovative travel experiences that cater to Gen Z’s preferences, ultimately transforming the way travel is planned and experienced for future generations.
