Three questions to the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
EnviroTrack Card is a room card and app that can record the carbon footprint, electricity usage, etc. of a hotel. It not only allows people to examine their own carbon footprint, but also reduces the carbon footprint on the environment and hotels by changing their behavior. After the reduction, you can get corresponding feedback. However, in the process of using EnviroTrack Card, you may feel that your behavior is restricted, and you may become unhappy or too strict when traveling. Therefore, we strive to provide feedback so that users do not deliberately change the operation and recording of their behavior. Allowing users to reduce their carbon footprint without stress while also protecting the environment.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
Because I like to travel, and during a trip, I found that the electricity, water, supplies, etc. in the hotel are also a kind of consumption? Therefore, I conducted in-depth research and made a design to try to solve this problem, but during the production During the process, the data and information were too large, making it difficult to verify the real data and effects during the production process. However, the team also calculated the EnviroTrack Card belt through interviews with acquainted hoteliers and the hotel’s power research report. future benefits, feasibility, willingness to use, etc.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In the next five years, I will focus on my own design goals and continue to work hard and improve myself. Because I like to create sustainable and environmentally friendly designs, I will continue to work hard on this project and other designs. In this project, it is expected to cooperate with hotels and financial operators and start trial operations to use EnviroTrack Card, and interview more frequent travelers, travel agencies, etc., to understand whether there are any difficulties encountered in travel accommodation that can be solved by the project To solve the problem, after people try to use EnviroTrack Card, we will continue to collect feedback and update the content of the room card and app to meet the needs of tourists and hotels.
