Three questions to the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
One of the biggest UX challenges in developing LeMee was balancing event discovery, simple creation, and social interactions. The interface needed to be intuitive for all users and make event creation easy yet personal. At the same time, finding relevant events had to be quick and simple while keeping user needs a priority. Balancing these aspects was a major challenge.
Additionally, we aimed to promote connections through social features without overwhelming users. Accessibility added complexity, requiring the app to be user-friendly for diverse needs.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The aha!-moment came when we received the first positive feedback from friends about our idea. Their enthusiasm showed us that LeMee can provide real value, fill a gap, and serve an important purpose. This greatly motivated us to stay committed to our vision. Later, user tests confirmed our idea, and we received highly positive feedback.
The low point came after creating the prototype, when we realized how expensive the actual development of the app would be. The thought that we might not be able to realize our idea due to financial hurdles was sobering for us. However, this challenge motivated us to search for creative solutions to achieve our goal.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In the next five years, we see LeMee growing into an app that connects people worldwide and makes events inspiring and interactive. For an easier start in the app market, we aim to introduce LeMee at universities to build initial user groups – students. With a young community, we want LeMee to become mainstream, which will allow it to expand to other demographics and, for instance, tackle issues like loneliness in old age. Based on user feedback and technological advancements, we continuously improve LeMee. Our team works to develop innovative features while keeping user needs at the center. Our vision: a platform that provides real value and transforms the way people experience and plan events.
