Three questions to the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The primary UX challenge of this project lay in understanding and addressing the diverse needs, motivations, and challenges of multiple user types—students, parents, and teachers—while maintaining a delicate balance of trust and effective communication between them. Each user group required tailored solutions that aligned with their expectations and roles within the school ecosystem. For parents, key actions were highlighted for simplicity. For students, tools supported self-awareness and progress. For teachers, a customizable platform improved efficiency. Communication clarity was crucial, with careful consideration given to tailoring messages for parents, students, or both, ensuring relevance and trust.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The aha!-moment occurred during user research, teachers expressed frustration with rigid, one-size-fits-all systems that didn’t adapt to their individual workflows. Recognizing this, the design shifted toward creating a flexible platform that allowed teachers to organize tools and resources based on their unique needs. A low point came when addressing whether parents should be informed about all aspects of a student's school life. The concern was whether this level of detail might feel like spam or, worse, breach the trust between the student and parent. It was a challenge to find the right balance—ensuring parents were aware of important matters without overstepping boundaries or overwhelming them with unnecessary updates.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
I see this platform becoming even more advanced and essential, continuously evolving to meet the growing needs of educational institutions. With regular updates, integration of cutting-edge technologies, and user-driven improvements, the platform will remain at the forefront of digital transformation in education.
Its adaptability will ensure it stays relevant for both private and public schools, scaling to support diverse educational models and reforms. This is not just a static solution—it’s a living, dynamic system designed to grow alongside the schools it serves, making education more efficient, engaging, and impactful for everyone involved.
