Three questions to the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The biggest challenge was creating a platform that ensured privacy and accessibility while addressing the sensitive nature of reproductive rights. Users needed a space to access resources discreetly, navigate easily, and feel supported. It was important for the design to balance emotional connection with functional clarity. One of the trickiest parts was integrating several tools and resources in a way that felt cohesive and natural. We needed to carefully structure the information to keep the experience straightforward and avoid overwhelming users with too much at once. Providing easy access to essential resources while maintaining a supportive, user-friendly interface was a top priority.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
The highlight was seeing how user feedback shaped the final design, particularly the automatic carousel feature and one-click downloads for belief cards, which simplified engagement and made the platform more intuitive. The “aha!” moment came during user interviews, where it became clear how vital privacy was in addressing stigma and legal risks, driving key design decisions. It was challenging managing tight deadlines, but it pushed the team to prioritize effectively and stay focused on user needs.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
We believe The Congregation will continue to serve as a critical resource for those seeking help and support for reproductive rights, providing essential tools and resources in a safe and accessible way. We are proud to have contributed to a project that makes a real difference, and we look forward to continuing work that empowers individuals and supports important causes like this one.
