Smart Shopping for Visual Impairments enhances Microsoft's Seeing AI with two features for visually impaired shoppers: Smart Navigation using NFC for in-store positioning, and Conversational Browsing through voice. Co-created with Ming Wu, who is visually impaired, the solution transforms shopping from a challenge into an opportunity for independence. By addressing navigation and product exploration, Smart Shopping eliminates the compromise between independence and efficiency while creating inclusive retail environments.
