Three questions to the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The main UX challenge was creating clarity in a highly complex investment environment. Users struggled to understand the products, the terminology, and even basic navigation of the dashboard. From a UX perspective, we first had to deeply understand what the business was offering and why, then translate it into a clean, human, and trustworthy experience. We restructured the entire information architecture, simplified the vocabulary, removed cognitive overload, and adopted a minimal, accessible design system to guide users with confidence rather than persuasion.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
There was no real low point, but the project had a long initial phase of understanding. Like climbing a hill, we first had to grasp a complex business model and users who struggled with the existing dashboard. The “aha” moment came when we completely restructured the information architecture. Suddenly everything became clearer: we simplified without removing essential functions, created a clean hierarchy, and even long-time users admitted that the new structure finally made sense. It proved that the time invested in understanding, not producing, was the key to achieving a meaningful, collaborative result.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In the next five years, I see this project evolving through continuous refinement. beQ has ambitious business goals, and we aim to support their growth, but always in an ethical way: our role is not to drive investments, but to help users make informed, confident decisions. Our focus will remain on analysing qualitative and quantitative feedback, simplifying the dashboard even further, and strengthening trust through clarity. For us, success means empowering users with transparent information, not influencing their choices.
