Three questions to the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
Our biggest challenge was creating an experience every employee could use with ease. With global teams in diverse roles, we had to ensure every feature and term felt intuitive. Another hurdle was presenting a vision of work ten years ahead - an uncharted future - in a way that today’s employees could trust and embrace. By focusing on decentralized IDs, precise biometric authentication, and personalization, we enabled seamless access, payments, and PC use via facial recognition. The result: a connected, stress-free, and creative work environment for all.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
A memorable moment was when remote-heavy discussions, often one-sided, shifted as we gathered around a table. Everyone aligned on one idea: “This app is here to transform how we work.” The atmosphere softened, and designers envisioning the future and engineers grounded in reality shared honest views to shape our ideal. Through company-wide interviews, the app evolved to fit daily workflows. The first digital ID mimicked a physical card to avoid confusion, but over time, its ease and innovation gained trust. That trust sparked confidence for our next challenge.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
Over the next five years, this project will keep evolving. As new features emerge, I’ll continue asking how we can shape them to support better ways of working - and stay involved as a core contributor. We believe the future of work isn’t handed to us; we create it ourselves. The project will keep expanding an inclusive environment where diverse employees thrive, proving our belief that barriers can become value. Our digital ID system and spirit of mutual support, built in-house, can extend to government, healthcare, and transport—helping shape a healthier, more inclusive society.
