DFS ConceptDesk has been developed to reduce the workload of air traffic controllers (ATC). The system integrates numerous technical displays and interaction systems in a homogeneous workplace concept. ConceptDesk is operated via touch input and integrates information that was previously shown on separate HMIs in one single interaction methodology. The consistent setup enables productive and efficient interactions between the ATC and air traffic without distracting the ATC from his or her primary tasks.
