The Air Pollution Indicator visualizes air pollution for more than 450 measuring sites in 300 German cities in an easily understandable way. Light installations, an interactive exhibit and a web app operate just as traffic lights do: Red indicates current pollution levels exceeding annual European average limits, green indicates clean air conditions. The components impress through aesthetics, at the same time offering warnings against invisible, yet real health hazards. The exhibit and implemented Alexa Skill support real-time, voice-activated information on air pollution.
