To counter climate change, a paradigm shift in the way we care for our trees is necessary. Afforestation would flourish if people would build an emotional connection to trees. Imagine a mobile app that would allow you to plant a tree anywhere in the world with just a tap. Automated drones would respond to your request and shoot nutrient-encapsulated seeds at precise GPS locations. Tree plants’ growth and health could be monitored using LIDAR mapping.
