Three questions for the project team

What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The primary UX challenge was translating complicated user needs into practical solutions and integrating multifaceted functionalities into a simple user interface and experience. This requires a deep understanding of user needs and preferences to ensure that the key features are structured into a seamless, intuitive user flow and experience, making them useful, discoverable, and easy to use in various user scenarios. To cope with the challenge and ensure delivery of a thoughtful, user-centric solution, various brainstorming activities and multiple iterations of design explorations were
conducted.

What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
My highlight in the development process was the opportunity to test the prototypes iteratively with a total of 10 participants in 2 rounds of usability testing, where I validated my design concepts and also gained some unexpected user feedback that guided my design iterations. The informative, constructive user insights have brought me clarity on the usability and effectiveness of my proposed design solutions as well as the areas that need improvement. Therefore, I was able to address user problems in an iterative manner and ultimately translate user challenges into a successful, user-centric solution.

Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
To ensure the Parallel app can adapt to the constantly-changing user needs and business market, over the next five years, I plan to continuously refine the design solutions by making user research and iterations a regular practice and utilizing cutting-edge AI technology to offer a more personalized user experience. As a result, Parallel’s constantly-improving usability, functionality, and accessibility will make it a user and business success. In addition, I aspire to explore opportunities to expand target user personas and deliver more robust design solutions that can meet the needs of users in various age ranges with different characteristics.
